Welcome to the Coláiste Chiaráin website. I hope this website gives you an insight in to our school, its ethos, values, programmes and school life.
Coláiste Chiaráin was established in 1980 under the trusteeship of the Presentation Sisters, the Archbishop of Dublin and Co Kildare VEC. We are a co-educational, multidenominational community school providing a broad curriculum which is designed to bring out the talents and abilities of our students. Since then, we have been working together to serve the educational needs of the community of Leixlip and surrounding areas.
Our school is a caring, progressive and modern school where care and the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning is at the centre of what we do. School development is undertaken by a highly motivated, talented and professional staff. Our building provides a warm and welcoming learning environment and is equipped with the latest technology to enhance to students’ learning experience.
Coláiste Chiaráin endeavours to create an atmosphere in which our students are encouraged to develop spiritual and moral values, personal and social skills and the highest standards of excellence of which they are capable, academically and in all other areas of their school and personal lives. We aim to bring out the very best in all our students in an atmosphere of care, respect and inclusion.
Together with our Deputy Principal, Ms Doran, I am thrilled to lead our school, writing what we hope will be an exciting and successful next chapter in our school's rich and vibrant story.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and that it becomes a valuable resource for you. I hope you get a flavour of our school community which is alive with positive values, learning, achievement, care and respect.
