'Barnum: The Greatest Show'
What a week we had with our Transition Year musical production of 'Barnum: The Greatest Show'. This truly was a spectacular show with a sold out hall on both Wednesday and Thursday. The audience were treated to the unbelievable talents of our students - acting, dancing and singing!
A special mention to our wonderful stage directors Ms Caffrey and Ms Mather who worked tirelessly over the past two months, to ensure the students reached their potential on stage and performed with great confidence! Ms O'Keeffe learned, coordinated and taught all of the choreography to the students, ably assisted by our PE department - Ms Charles, Mr McCarthy & Mr Byrne - who all put in countless hours of work perfecting the dances! A huge thank you to our legendary musical director Ms Sullivan who arranged all of the songs, worked with soloists and groups and expertly conducted our cast and band! As is tradition with our musical productions, live music was performed by our band, made of staff, current and past pupils: Stephen Ryan (Drums & Percussion), Taylor O'Brien (Drums & Percussion), Oisin Fagan (Bass), Aaron McKeon (Saxophone), Jamie Doyle (Guitar), Mr Keane (Guitar) & Mr Farrell (Piano).
A special thank you to all parents, families, students and staff who supported our wonderful Transition Year cast. Thank you to Leixlip GAA Club for the use of the GAA Hall and to Patrick & Henry from The Sound Shop who provided superb sound and lighting for our shows!
